Who Is the Best Real Estate Agent in Syracuse, Utah?
If you search that question, you will get a list of agents who paid to be on it. That is how those pages work. "Top agent in Syracuse" is almost always an advertising placement, not a finding.
So I am not going to tell you I am the best agent in Syracuse. I do not know how anyone would prove that. What I can do is give you the criteria I would use if I were hiring an agent here, and then answer them honestly about myself, including the parts that do not flatter me. You can apply the same criteria to anyone else you interview.

How should you actually choose an agent in Syracuse?
Four things matter here more than a sales volume number, and three of them are specific to this city:
- Do they know the school boundary lines, not just the school names? Syracuse's boundaries do not follow the city limits. Homes in the south of the city feed Legacy Junior High and Clearfield High, not the two schools with Syracuse in the name. An agent who does not know that will let you buy the wrong house.
- Do they understand new construction as well as resale? A large share of what sells in Syracuse is a builder contract, which is a different negotiation with different leverage and a different set of things to ask for.
- Will they tell you not to buy something? The useful agent is the one who says the lot drains wrong, or the price is over the comparables, and is willing to lose the sale over it.
- Do they do both sides? Most people who buy here will eventually sell here. An agent who only chases buyers is learning half the job.
The two honest parts
I have been licensed since January 2026
I am not going to bury that. I became a licensed Realtor in January 2026, which means if you want an agent with two hundred closings behind them, that is not me and you should keep looking.
Here is the case for hiring me anyway. A newer agent has fewer clients, which means you get the person you hired rather than a team member you have not met. I answer my own phone. I go to the inspection. And the thing that actually takes years to acquire — knowing Davis County street by street — I already had before I got the license, because I have owned a home in this county since 2001 and raised four children through its schools.
Licensed January 2026. Utah license 14265491. If transaction count is your first filter, I will not survive it, and I would rather you know that on this page than three weeks in. What I offer instead is local knowledge that predates the license, a background built on managing complicated things carefully, and the time to actually do the work.
I do not live in Syracuse
Plenty of agents will imply they live in whatever city you are searching. I live in Centerville, about twenty minutes south, and I have been in Davis County since 2001.
What I would say in my defense is that "I live here" is not the same as "I know this." Syracuse is a city I work in deliberately and study carefully, and I would rather show you that than assert it. Which brings me to the next section.
Judge my Syracuse knowledge for yourself
Do not take my word for it. I have written two long, specific guides to this city, and you can check every fact in them against the district and the state:
- Best Schools in Syracuse, Utah: A Parent's Guide — all eleven public and charter schools with grade levels and addresses, the two dual language immersion pathways, how boundary permits and open enrollment work, and the southern boundary line that sends part of Syracuse to Legacy Junior High and Clearfield High.
- Living in Syracuse, Utah: An Honest Guide from a Local Realtor — home prices against the neighboring cities, the subdivisions and builders by name, what the West Davis Highway did to the commute, the parks, Antelope Island, and a section on the downsides.
If another agent's Syracuse page is three paragraphs about "charming small-town feel," that is a fair comparison to make.
What I bring that is not a transaction count
In 2024 and 2025 I was the general contractor on my own house
I ran the build myself, including a basement accessory dwelling unit. Permits, subcontractors, inspections, the schedule, the budget, the surprises. That is not a credential you can take a class for.
It matters in Syracuse specifically, because so much of this market is new construction. I have read the plans and I have stood in the framing. When a builder tells you something is standard, or that a change is not possible, or that the timeline slipped for reasons outside their control, I have a basis for knowing whether that is true. And when we walk a resale, I can usually tell you what a repair is going to cost within a reasonable range rather than saying "you should get a quote."
I taught elementary music, and I coached
Six years teaching elementary music and ten years as a life coach. Sixteen years of work whose entire content was explaining things clearly to people who were nervous, and keeping track of a lot of moving pieces without dropping any.
That is most of what a real estate transaction actually is. The teaching background also means that when a family asks me what a school is really like, I am answering from inside a school building rather than from a ratings website.
My power team is not a referral list
I work with a Real Estate Power Team of Specialists — lender, title, inspection, trades — people I have used and would use again. The distinction matters on the day something goes wrong, which in real estate is most days. A referral list is three names off a spreadsheet. A team is someone who picks up when I call at 5 p.m. on a Friday because the appraisal came in low and we have until Monday.
I hold a Property Management License
Useful if you are looking at Syracuse as an investment, or thinking about an accessory dwelling unit, or keeping a house as a rental instead of selling it when you move. I built an ADU in my own basement, so that particular conversation is not theoretical for me.
Education, licensing and specializations

| Specializations | First-time home sellers. New construction. Property management and accessory dwelling units. Families matching schools to homes. |
A note on first-time sellers, since it is the thing I am most deliberate about. Everyone writes for first-time buyers. Almost nobody writes for the family who has lived in the same Syracuse house for fifteen years and has no idea what happens now — what to fix and what to leave, what the net actually looks like after everything, how to sell and buy in the same month without owning two houses or none. That is a genuinely stressful thing to do for the first time, and it is where I do my best work.
Community
I serve with Soroptimist International, an organization whose work is improving the lives of women and girls through education and access. That is where my volunteer time goes.
Four of my children went through Davis School District, which is why the schools guide on this site is as detailed as it is — I have sat in those parent meetings and made those enrollment decisions myself.
Outside of work I am an avid hiker and an unapologetic plant nerd and gardener. If you are buying in Syracuse and want to know which yards will actually grow things and which lots are fighting the wind off the lake, that is a conversation I enjoy more than I should.
Questions to ask any agent you interview, including me
Interview two or three. Ask all of them these, and notice who answers with specifics and who answers with warmth alone:
- Which schools does this exact address feed, and how do you know? The right answer names the district's boundary map, not a listing site. In Syracuse it is also the answer most likely to be wrong.
- What is wrong with this house? Every house has something. An agent who cannot name it is not looking.
- What has sold on this street in the last year, and for what? Not the city average. This street.
- If I am buying new construction, what will you negotiate that I would not think to ask for? If the answer is "the price," they do not do much new construction.
- Who is on your team on closing day when something breaks? Ask for names.
- When would you tell me not to buy a house? If they cannot describe a situation, they have never done it.
Where I work, and how to reach me
I list homes for sellers and represent buyers in Syracuse and across Davis County — Layton, Clearfield, West Point, Kaysville, Farmington, Centerville, Bountiful, Woods Cross and North Salt Lake.

If you are thinking about Syracuse, start by telling me what your week actually looks like — where you work, which gate at Hill if that applies, how old your kids are, whether you want a yard you can garden. I will tell you which part of the city fits and, just as usefully, which part does not.
And if after all that you decide to hire someone else, that is a fine outcome. I would rather you choose well than choose me.
